What is Clipgator and why does it have 4-5 links to most of my posts? Seems a little fishy to me. Anyone else have links from them. Click on my “links to this post” to see mine.

I am a self professed slacker mom. I answer to Kristie or slackermommy.
My house is a mess, my kids are obnoxious, and my husband is sexually deprived.
I drive my kids to school in my pj's, I can make a couple of Happy Meals from the floor of my car, my kids eat in front of the television, and I believe a dirty house helps kids have a healthy immune system.
If you can relate then this blog is for you. No sugar coating on my blog. Let's get real about being a mommy, wife, sister, and friend.

Interesting. I have no idea. That site uses RSS feeds from other blogs for its content. I suppose they could be feeding from anyone’s blog. If you didn’t give them your permission then they have no business running entire feeds on their site.

We’re not “fishy,” we’re new!
Clipgator is a just-in-time portal of parenting blog posts - we give visitors a glimpse of what parents are blogging about in real time on the world wide web.
It seems that we had an internal “hiccup” that was posting repeating trackbacks to you. Hopefully, we’ve fixed the error - thanks for pointing it out, and cutting this Mom some slack!

ps - if for some reason you don’t want us to include your excerpted posts (and give your blog additional exposure) on our website, we’ll be happy to remove you - just let us know…

I get these links, too — a few of them in fact. I don’t mind the links back, but need to do more research to find out what they’re all about.
Great site, btw. Keep up the good work!

I have been getting included in clipgator as well. Since it is opt-out I’m not a fan, and I suspect we’ll see advertising on it sooner or later.
And yes, I see that the people over there are monitoring this post. So here’s a note to the clipgator folks:
The fact that you are “opt-out” not “opt-in” is just one thing that makes you look spammy and like you’re gearing up to be the next bitacle.
Another is the lack of any significantly helpful ‘about us’ text. I see you have such a page, but it doesn’t give me any reason to trust you.
Just some helpful tips. You may turn out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but this isn’t a great start.

Oh no…someone used the “B” word (Bitacle)!
Clipgator was born out of a personal need to have access to quality parenting information in an efficient manner, and we thought we’d share the fruits of our labor. Some ancillary benefits: educating and mobilizing the masses (take for example MomsRising’s current petition to stop proposed funding cuts to PBS); and more eyeballs/traffic directed to the original author’s blog.
We publish partial feeds only, with very clear links back to the original work. There’s no passing off or non-attribution going on here!
Thanks for the tips, they’ve been helpful – we’ve not got a new “About” page. Hopefully some day soon, we WILL be better than sliced bread…maybe even better than corrective eye surgery!
