Magic Marker Monday

I’ve previously posted this photo of Connor’s artwork but I love it too much to not post again as part of the Magic Marker Monday Meme.
I love Connor’s penis people drawings. Of course he doesn’t mean for them to look like penises. They look just like real people to him. It’s his twisted mother that sees a penis.
What I love so much about this drawing is that it represents how far he has come with his fine motor skills. At the beginning of kindergarten he could not write his name, hold a pencil correctly, or do more than scribble on a piece of paper but within five months he was able to write his name and draw penis people.
I am one proud mamma!

I am a self professed slacker mom. I answer to Kristie or slackermommy.
My house is a mess, my kids are obnoxious, and my husband is sexually deprived.
I drive my kids to school in my pj's, I can make a couple of Happy Meals from the floor of my car, my kids eat in front of the television, and I believe a dirty house helps kids have a healthy immune system.

That is too funny! I know what you mean about the fine motor skills, though. My son really started showing some willingness to try in that area once we got him into a typical preschool class instead of the specialized autism program.

Next time… I would appreciate a “Depends Warning” listed on the top of your post since I about peed my pants laughing so hard!

Now that I’ve cleaned the spewed iced coffee from my laptop…penis people LOL…tell Connor I love his art. The vibrant colors rock, and I understand how hard a guy has to work to come this far.

I’m back with my son looking at the other pictures, and he said this looks like a person with wings whose going to start practicing to fly. He really likes the colors in the picture.

My daughter added a penis to her snowman project she made at preschool . Well she called it an arm…but everyone knows snowmen don’t have 3 arms.

I saw a penis too, but my husband has been out of town for a week, so I guess I have an excuse for my mind being in the gutter. Thanks for the laugh.
